In response to the ongoing severe weather brought about by the southwest monsoon, the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines has officially announced the cancellation of all consular appointments scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 2025. This includes appointments for U.S. visa services as well as services for American citizens.

According to the Embassy's advisory, the main Embassy compound in Manila will suspend operations on July 22 due to the impact of continuous heavy rainfall and strong winds in Metro Manila and surrounding areas. This decision was made in the interest of public safety and the well-being of Embassy staff.

Visa Application Center (VAC) Remains Operational

Despite the closure of the main Embassy, the offsite Visa Application Center in Parañaque City will remain open on July 22, 2025. Applicants are advised to monitor relevant local advisories and make personal safety their top priority.
